The Montgomery County Police Foundation was established in 1995 as a private non-profit organization that supports the mission of the Montgomery County Police Department in our collaboration with county residents to enhance community well-being and officer safety.

The Foundation, with leadership from members in our business and civic communities, has provided a multitude of resources from donors that support the department’s efforts around specialized training, equipment, and enhancing community projects.   The Police Foundation has raised more than $1 million, to include providing essential support for the Department’s “Community Opioid Prevention Education” (COPE) trailer designed to help parents, spouses and others to identify the signs that might be an indicator of an opioid problem.

The support given by the Police Foundation has provided much-needed assistance in strengthening the ties that bind us as a community and promote our overall well-being.

On behalf of the entire Department, we salute the Police Foundation and its volunteer Board for their selfless assistance in our continuing efforts to make Montgomery County the safe, inviting, and productive place in which we all can live, work, and raise our families.
