Chief's Message

The Montgomery County Police Foundation was established in 1995 as a private non-profit organization to support the mission of the Montgomery County Police Department to work with County residents to enhance public and officer safety.

The Foundation, with leadership from members in our business and civic communities, has provided valuable resources from donors to support specialized training, equipment, and community projects.   It has raised more than $1 million, including providing essential support for the Department’s Community Opioid Prevention Education (COPE) trailer designed to help parents, spouses and others to identify the signals that might be an indicator of an opioid problem. 

This support has provided much-needed assistance in strengthening the ties that bind us as a community.

On behalf of the entire Department, we salute the Foundation and its volunteer Board for its assistance in our continuing efforts to make Montgomery County the safe, inviting, and productive place in which we all can live, work, and raise our families.
